About The Office

Grant operations advisory built for organizations carrying real delivery pressure.

We help organizations in Kenya and across Africa reduce operational drag in grant delivery through diagnostic-first operating model design, reporting readiness, and governed execution support.

Why We Exist

Strong missions often sit on top of strained operating models.

Many organizations do exceptional work, but the operating layer behind delivery is often under strain. Reporting cycles slow down, handovers become unclear, data gets scattered across teams and tools, and donor pressure compounds at the worst possible moment.

We built Grant Performance Office because these problems rarely come from weak commitment. More often, they come from operating models that have not kept pace with the complexity, speed, and review burden of today's grant environments.

Founder Story

Built from grant finance, control, reporting, and systems experience.

Sounkalo TRAORE is a finance, audit, and grant operations professional with a strong foundation in financial control, reporting discipline, internal controls, compliance, and operating system improvement.

His recent experience includes vaccine grant operations management at Gavi, where he supported grant document processing, transaction coordination, grant data management, and collaboration with UNICEF and delivery partners in a complex international health financing environment.

Earlier roles with Medtronic, Baker Tilly, and other international organizations strengthened his expertise across financial reporting, audit readiness, internal control frameworks, data engineering, process improvement, and commercially disciplined operations.

This cross-functional background enables Sounkalo to bring a diagnostic-first perspective to grant performance: identifying the operational breakdowns behind reporting delays, control gaps, and delivery strain before recommending practical interventions. His approach combines financial rigor, analytical depth, governance awareness, and a clear understanding of real-world execution constraints.

What We Do

Diagnostic-first work across the full grant lifecycle.

We support organizations through a diagnostic-first operating model approach that strengthens planning, reporting assembly, review control, and cross-functional execution without turning the work into more internal noise.

Grant operating model design

Reporting assembly and workflow optimization

Cross-functional handoff clarity

Data and documentation governance

Governed AI support for reporting and analysis

How We Work

A clear sequence from diagnosis to governed improvement.

01

Diagnostic First

Every engagement begins with a structured diagnostic that maps current processes, bottlenecks, risks, and reviewer pressure points.

02

Co-Design With Your Team

We design workflows, controls, and reporting structures with the people who have to run them, so the operating model fits the real donor mix and team context.

03

Implementation Support

We help teams adopt the new routines, documentation standards, and review discipline required to make the changes hold under live delivery pressure.

04

Governed AI Layer

Where AI support is appropriate, it is introduced inside explicit human review, traceability, and approval boundaries rather than as ungoverned automation.

Rooted In Kenya, Built For Africa

Designed for the realities teams are already carrying.

Our work is shaped by the operating conditions many grant-funded organizations face across Kenya and the region. We design for those realities directly rather than for idealized structures that do not survive live delivery.

Multi-donor reporting requirements that compound across teams

Cross-county and cross-country delivery coordination

Tight reporting timelines and persistent compliance pressure

High staff turnover in operationally critical roles

Increasing digital expectations from funders and partners

Why Organizations Choose Us

Operating clarity without inflated claims.

We focus on systems, not blame.

We design for real teams, not ideal diagrams.

We strengthen clarity, control visibility, and execution discipline.

We help organizations move from reactive operations to predictable operating rhythm.

Governed AI Support
Operating Philosophy

Four principles shape the work.

Diagnose before redesigning.

Strengthen systems, not blame individuals.

Make control visible before deadlines.

Use AI only inside governed review boundaries.

Grant Performance Office advisory approach
Our Foundation

Institutional support with explicit operating depth.

Grant Performance Office is part of Revolution Analytics, a company working across Africa and Europe to strengthen operational systems, data practices, and AI-supported workflows.

That foundation gives clients access to multidisciplinary expertise across grant operations, data systems, organizational design, AI governance, reporting automation, and change management.

A Clear Next Step

Impact work is hard enough. Operations should not make it harder.

If reporting drag, weak control visibility, or unclear handoffs are already visible, the right next move is usually a bounded diagnostic rather than a broad transformation claim.
